Summary
Take the opportunity of viewing the National Forest from a different perspective with Trent Adventure on one of their river or canal paddling trips. Go with the flow on a short taster paddle or longer day trip out, exploring the Trent Valley, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Trips can be arranged for a minimum of two people, families or larger corporate events in Canadian-style open canoes. The company also runs stand-up paddleboard sessions for those seeking other fun ways of heading out along the water. If you choose a paddle that starts upstream, minibus transport is provided.
If you are paddling downstream from the base, collection is arranged at the end of your adventure. You can explore some caves en route and celebrate your journey with a drink in a local pub. Just make sure you bring warm windproof clothes, sun-cream and hat, and plenty of food and drink. Contact the centre to find out more.
Facilities
- Stay locally in Trent Adventure’s two river-side converted horsebox trucks
