Summary

These courses are an opportunity to slow down and take a step back into the rural life of the village carpenter from yesteryear. During these hands-on experiences, you will learn many traditional woodworking skills in order to create a piece of bespoke rustic furniture, such as oak stools or oak garden benches.

These sessions are led by Ian Varley, founder of the business. There are also items for sale, with Rustic Carpentry specialising in creating handcrafted furniture for the home and garden and larger bespoke outdoor structures. Based on the edge of Charnwood Forest, the enterprise uses timber sourced from sustainably managed woodlands within the boundaries of the National Forest.
