Summary
Wandering among the fields and wooded landscapes of the National Forest, you will likely come across all types of insects, animals and bird life. If you head to Boundary, a hamlet on the outskirts of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, you may well end up meeting an animal that is usually more at home in the heights of the Andes in South America.
The 110-acre farm at Charnwood Forest Alpacas is one of the first and largest alpaca farms open to the public in the UK. Here, you will be able to take part in several different experiences, from taking an alpaca for a walk to having a date night with pacas and prosecco!
The farm is passionate about showing, breeding and educating guests from all over the country about alpacas and many of the other animals on the farm. This family-friendly destination is also home to horses, donkeys, sheep, pigs, chickens, cats and many more. Visitors can meet and walk the animals as well as helping out in hand-feeding them.
The farm has a shop and Chilli Bean café, housed within an old dairy barn with a selection of farm breakfasts, homemade sandwiches and cakes, grazing boards and freshly ground coffee.
