Rosliston Forestry Centre

Rosliston Forestry Centre is a 58-hectare site, created in the 1990s when 120,000 trees were planted among existing trees on the border of Derbyshire and Staffordshire in the heart of the National Forest.

Rosliston is a fascinating place to learn, explore, enjoy and stay in the woodland. There is plenty to engage the whole family with walks, cycle routes, with cycle hire, play areas and a fishing lake. Six specially designed forest lodges mean you can also have a wonderful forest holiday.

Take one of the marked trails around the site and visit the wildlife and sensory gardens, snowdrop wood, poplar plantation and bluebell memorial woods. Make sure you look out for wildlife as the forest is home to kestrels, owls and kingfishers as well as bats and butterflies in summer. If you have children in your party, do not miss the den building area and outdoor play facilities, or the indoor soft play for younger children, in the visitor centre.
