Summary

Since the early 1970s when the first potter moved in, the Ferrers Centre for arts and crafts at Staunton Harold, has been a creative hub for makers and crafters. The courtyard was originally stabling for about 40 horses and today it makes a delightful place to visit and enjoy the work of all the makers who are based there. The crafts on display include ceramics, upholstery, candle-making, blacksmithing and many more. As well as buying the work, you can see these talented craftspeople in action. You can also take part, with individual makers running workshops for you to learn a new craft or hone existing skills.

The Staunton Harold Estate is a gateway to the National Forest with links to numerous walks and trails through the local countryside. You can enjoy following one of the three planned walks taking you though the estate land and local area. With your walk complete, head back to the courtyard where the whole family can enjoy a visit to the Stables Coffee Shop and their signature hot iron toasties.
